Key takeaways

  • Monthly, upfront and true total sit on every deal
  • Network and retailer names stay visible
  • We earn from partners and say so in plain words

Transparency first

We built fones.app so shoppers can see the full shape of a deal before they leave the site. That means the same core facts on phones, SIMs and refurbished offers - not a different story on every page.

What we show on every deal

  • Monthly price - what you pay each month
  • Upfront cost - what you pay today
  • True total - monthly × term + upfront
  • Data, calls and texts - the allowance you are buying
  • Network and retailer - who provides the service and who takes the order
  • Term - how long the contract runs

How ranking works

Deals line up by the numbers that matter to shoppers: price, data and term. Nobody can pay for a higher place on the page. If two deals look similar, the clearer total usually rises.

Featured picks on the homepage follow the same idea - live prices, full allowances and a rounded product. We would rather show a strong deal we earn nothing from than a weaker one that pays more.

What we earn

fones.app is free to use. When you buy through a link, the retailer or network pays us a small referral fee from their marketing budget. That fee never changes the price you pay.

We say when we earn, in plain words. Full detail lives on our How we make money page.

What still lives with the retailer

Prices and stock move through the day. The merchant owns the live checkout, credit checks and delivery. Always give the final page a quick check before you buy.

Next step

Browse phone deals or SIM only and read the true total on every card. If you want a shortlist shaped around your budget and data, ask Fin from the bubble in the corner.
