How we make money

fones.app is free to use. When you buy through a link here, the retailer or network pays us a small referral fee. It comes out of their marketing budget — so the price you pay is the same as going direct.

The short version

Three steps. No small print.

  1. Step 01

    You compare, free

Prices arrive from UK retailers and networks through the day, so the monthly cost, the upfront cost and the true total sit side by side.

  2. Step 02

    You pick a deal

Tap through and we hand you to the retailer or network. They take the payment and look after your order and your contract.

  3. Step 03

They send us a small fee

If you buy, our partner shares a slice of the budget they already spend on marketing. That keeps fones.app free to use.

Ground rules

What it never changes

Earning a fee only works if you can trust what you see. So these four things stay fixed.

  • Your price stays the same

The fee comes out of the retailer's budget, never out of your pocket. You pay what you would pay going direct.

  • Places are not for sale

Deals line up by the numbers — price, data and term. Nobody can pay to sit higher up a page.

  • Every partner is named

You always see which retailer and which network you are buying from before you leave the site.

  • We say when we earn

A short line sits with the deals, in plain words. No hidden badges and nothing buried in the small print.

Where it goes

It keeps the lights on

No paywall, no adverts following you around. Referral fees pay for the price checks, the guides and the site itself — which is why we can show you a deal we earn nothing from and still put it first.

In one sentence

We are paid by the shop, not by you — and we would rather lose the fee than point you at the wrong deal.

Prices and stock live with the retailer, so always give them a final check before you buy.
